Helps capture records
When transcription is used, speech is converted into text to support session notes. Your therapist should explain this use and agree on the conditions with you.
If your professional uses Ana M, the platform can help organise information and records. Listening, the therapeutic relationship and decisions about your care remain with that professional.
Understand Ana’s role More clarity about technology. More room for conversation. In person or online, Ana supports record-keeping tasks so your therapist can give the conversation more attention. It does not join the session as a therapist.

Notes, history and documents are brought together in a professional workspace, making appointment records easier to manage.
AI can prepare a draft report from the records. Your therapist checks it, corrects it and decides what is appropriate. Ana does not decide your treatment.
It is natural to have questions about transcription or artificial intelligence in a session. Before using them, your therapist should explain the purpose, the data involved and how your consent will be requested.
Appointment records contain health information and require confidentiality, appropriate access and a clear purpose. Ana supports your therapist’s work; your conversation does not become public content. You can read our policy and ask how your data is handled in your care.
Using Ana does not, by itself, mean recording every session: it also brings together scheduling, notes and other records. If your therapist uses audio capture or transcription, ask them to explain what is captured, what is stored, for how long and how your consent will be requested.
Ana’s role is to support records and organise the professional’s work. AI can help prepare texts, which must be reviewed by the professional. It does not conduct your therapy or replace your therapist’s assessment and decisions.
Talk to your therapist before use. You can raise concerns, decline consent for that tool or discuss withdrawing it and alternative ways to keep records. This does not automatically remove records that must be retained for legal or professional obligations.
You do not need to install Ana for your therapist to use its record-keeping tools. The call takes place on the platform you agree on together. Your therapist will explain how to join and which tools they use during the appointment.
Access should be restricted to your practitioner and people authorised for the purpose of your care. Ask who has access and consult Ana M’s Privacy Policy. Questions about your records should be addressed to the practitioner responsible.
Start with the practitioner responsible for your care. They can explain why records are kept and handle access or correction requests. For platform questions, use the privacy contact listed in the Privacy Policy.
If technology raises a question, bring it to your session. Talking with your therapist is the best starting point. And if you would like to meet the people behind Ana, we are here.
